Robert Lewandowski: Is he really a City option?
Reports broke last night of Manchester City being 'keen' on signing Robert Lewandowski via the Daily Mail.
Man City are ‘keen’ on Robert Lewandowski if a Harry Kane deal fails, City are monitoring the situation with Lewandowski and a new contract. Though, Bayern Munich are stern with their approach - they will keep Robert Lewandowski but offering a 'long term' deal in a contract extension for which Lewandowski wants would go against Bayern's club policy. So a move from Bayern is not a bad shout but we are pretty sure it wouldn't be to City.
Manchester City would not go for Robert Lewandowski. It simply goes against everything the club stands for. City usually go for players aged 18-25 who have mouldable talent and are easily impressionable (tactically). While Lewandowski is a fantastic player, he would simply not fit the typical City player mold.

Manchester City are still very much interested on Harry Kane, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.

A Robert Lewandowski to Manchester City move would also cast question as to why Man City let Sergio Aguero (just turned 33) leave by not extending his contract due to his age and injuries but sign Robert Lewandowski who turns 33 this year. For now, it is safe to say there will not be a move to he Etihad for Robert Lewandowski anytime soon.
