Raheem Sterling: It's Not Easy

Raheem Sterling has been criticised by every major British newspaper. From the gun tattoo in symbolism of his father who was killed by gun violence to buying a new house for his mother who worked three jobs to fund their family.

Raheem has had hate in all sections of his footballing life but every time gives the critics less to talk about. Pundits as ever had their say on what they think of Sterling.

"Raheem has dropped off, he’s having a blip. On his game he is an exceptional talent, but I still wouldn’t say he’s the best." - Tony Cascarino

Once again an article saying 'VERDICT Raheem Sterling is ‘bang out of form’ and Gareth Southgate ‘can’t pick him’ for England at Euro 2020, talkSPORT told' from a quote by Ray Parlour.

“Sterling is bang out of form. He was starting for me, this is when I done my squad a couple of months ago, but now suddenly he’s not in the team.” - Ray Parlour

Pundits are known for having their controversial opinion but Sterling did not let the criticism get to him - scoring 3 goals and assisting 1 in England's EURO games. Sterling's confidence has been unwavering.

“I started playing when I was 17 years of age, never have I looked and said, ‘Oh, I’m not going to play or am I going to play’. Just enjoy football. It’s not that serious." - Raheem S

Raheem has been England's finest player and was single-handedly responsible for getting England out of the group stages and into the point they are in now. Raheem has been one of Pep's finest players and knows he can do better for club performances but knows a lot of personal variables came to play.

The Boy from Brent has been a catalyst for England and while he is aware of the haters he simply doesn't let it get to him.

It's a big game for Sterling's England and he has a nation on his back. Best of luck, Raheem!
