It’s a blow for Phil Foden and Manchester City after what seemed like a small knock has turned out to be a 2 month ordeal for the bright star.

Phil Foden (or ’Phillippa’ commonly known as by new Man City player, Jack Grealish) revealed to Sky Sport and various other news outlets that he will be ruled out for at least 3 weeks.

Foden was forced to miss England‘s historical final against Italy. Unfortunately the injury meant the player was out - not having any participation in the final which saw England lose on penalties.

Though, it’s not all bad news for young Phil. His family recently welcomed a young girl into the world, making Phil a father to both a boy and a girl which he confirmed meant he and his family stayed at home for his summer holiday.

Foden told the press that his injured foot is “still a little bit sore” but said he is “working hard in the gym” to try and get back to full match fitness.

Many followers of our Stockport Lad will notice young Philly has dyed his hair back to it’s natural black after keeping it blonde for the last two months, saying it was simply “so hard to keep on top of.”

Phil Foden is expected to miss Man City’s matches vs. Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester and possibly Southampton too.

In arguably one of the most welcomed contract extension news for Man City, Ekrem Konur has announced that Phil Foden is expected to receive a contract extension of until 2027.

Phil has always been guaranteed a new and improved contract that properly reflects his incredible talent and while the extension is not a huge surprise it is something to be nothing but thrilled about.

Negotiations between Man City and Phil Foden’s team are said to have already started and as City are his boyhood club it’s not a worry that this will get sorted quickly.
