It's a very important game this weekend. Manchester City face Everton at the Etihad Stadium. The Sky Blues currently sit 2nd on the Premier League table just 3 points off the top.
Speaking to the press ahead of our weekend game Pep Guardiola mentioned that Man City might be without certain key payers.
Jack Grealish returned from November’s international break early after picking up an injury ahead of England’s game against San Marino.
"Jack is getting better after he went to the national team." - Pep Guardiola
Phil Foden reported back to the City Football Academy with a leg problem.
"Phil Foden came back with a knock and a problem with his leg, but he is getting better." - Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola spoke on the chances of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish being available.
"Jack, I don’t think [will be available]. Phil, we will see." - Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola also confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne is unavailable after testing positive for COVID and will have to isolate for 10 days.
"Unfortunately, Kevin got positive from COVID in Belgium and will be isolating for 10 days." - Pep Guardiola
Kevin De Bruyne's 10 day isolation period would mean he misses Man City's next 3 fixtures but Pep Guardiola says his only concern is that the back-to-back PFA POTY winner recovers well, rather than the impact his absence will have on the team.
"Forget about the fitness, forget about the momentum, He is positive. He has to recover well and try and be healthy. The human being is more important than anything else,"

Pep Guardiola opened up on João Cancelo's current form and performances this season.
A lot has been made about 'False Fullback' João Cancelo's sparkling form so far this season.
The Portuguese international has cemented himself as one the worlds best in his position despite playing at left-back while being a natural right-back.
Joao Cancelo has been displaying mesmerizing Ballon d'Or worthy performances from the flank consistently with an astonishing goal contribution tally of 2 goals and 3 assists in four UEFA Champions League appearances this season.
Speaking ahead of Man City vs Everton this weekend, Pep Guardiola praised the full-back's start to the season, while pointing out that the 27 year old may still have another level to reach.
"Of course he is playing really well [Cancelo]. Consistent. His physicality, he can recover really well and play three times a week,"
"But still I have the feeling he can do better. Hopefully, he is open to accept that and we can move forward." - Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Ederson when asked if the Brazilian international was the best he had coached in terms of possession.
"Yeah, For the quality of the pass and especially the right moment to give the pass.'

Pep Guardiola admitted that there's an Element of risk that comes with the way he wants Ederson to play.
Ederson will regularly receive the ball with the opposition attempting to put him under pressure inside his own penalty area, but Pep Guardiola is happy to accept such nerve-wracking moments because of the rewards it can provide.
