Jack Grealish to Manchester City, DONE DEAL or FAKE NEWS?

The past few weeks has seen us inundated with a sea of contradicting reports. It's no lie City are interested in Jack Grealish and Harry Kane but Grealish seems to be he most talked about possible addition to the Manchester City side.

Jack Grealish is open with his love for world-class City player, Kevin De Bruyne (but how could you not love him!), saying in a Aston Villa interview once "I’m half star-struck when I play against Kevin De Bruyne, he’s my favourite player ever. I think he’s unbelievable, I think he’s easily the best player in the Premier League at the moment." and even Pep Guardiola is acutely aware of his talent saying, "He’s incredible. A top player. I’m happy he stayed in the Championship to defend his club when he could have go. He’s a talented player who always creates something."

Though, with the obvious love affair between Grealish and City is there anything that shows he will be playing alongside De Bruyne? Yes. TalkSPORT reported that 'Manchester City are close to signing Jack Grealish for around £100m'. After this, reports came in quick succession. Another report from Simon Bajkowski, one of Man City's top tier sources confirmed 'there is growing confidence' that Jack Grealish will be a City player next season. Fabrizio Romano, football's no.1 source for transfer news said "Manchester City have very strong interest in Jack Grealish" but made sure to say "But there’s no advanced agreement. Everything will be decided after the EUROs".

While all indications point to Jack Grealish moving to Man City but a striker still remains their priority, as per Kaveh Solhekol, "City are interested in signing Grealish, but our understanding is he is not their top priority, their top priority is a striker like Harry Kane or Erling Haaland". City will not be able to complete any deal before the Euros finish and any indications of a reported 'done deal' should be taken with a pinch of salt. City are likely to have made contact in order to get the ball rolling but no deal has been made.

It may seem a bit upsetting but Chairman Khaldoon has guaranteed us Blues signings in much needed positions. While there have been links expect to see an exciting July and August. It's now a matter of when...
