Could Man City get Haaland in January?
Updated: Nov 27, 2021
We’re just at the end of a Champions League week, where Man City beat PSG to get through to the round of 16, but there was a team that failed massively: Borussia Dortmund.
After losing against Sporting CP (that end up qualifying), Dortmund now faces a couple of problems: they missed out on a huge money prize and they might lose Haaland in January.
Having been eliminated from the Champions League, Haaland might now be ready to leave earlier than expected, and Man City is ready to get him.
Man City is the only club that can spend £100m in January. After having failed to sign Harry Kane in the summer, they can now go all out in the winter transfer window for the Dortmund striker.
It’s learned by the media that Haaland favours a move to England, and City might be the best option for the Norwegian striker. Being able to play under Pep Guardiola is a one of a kind opportunity, plus getting to play in the best team in the footballing world at the moment is something that Haaland can be ready to do in January.
Man City could use a striker, as some say it’s the missing piece in a wonderful squad, and it can be the difference-maker for the rest of the Premier League and UCL campaign.
Only time will tell, but it’s a real possibility to see Haaland in a sky-blue shirt starting January.
